“Creating Value with IT: Insights and Interviews”
Business professor Kevin Kobelsky with the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University will present his findings on the positive correlation in IT spend and increased corporate earnings and increased stock price. Included will be his research results on the likelihood of corporations funding increased IT spend (budgets) based on, as Kevin categorizes, whether yours systems are meant to transform, automate, inform internally, or inform externally. He and his team have collected data from major companies over the last 10 years to put together the findings. Following his insights, Kevin will interview Mike Reidenbach, Executive Vice President and Worldwide Chief Information Officer of Global Payments, to gather his feedback on what he agrees with and what he has found different in his organization. |
