Case Study Session Your Data Center: Bottleneck or Big Data Engine?
In this case study, Mr. Escalante will share his bold vision of how he transformed the Data Center and its Technology Team for LexisNexis Risk Solutions. LexisNexis Risk Solutions had finished several acquisitions, which created duplicate platforms, databases, vendor license agreements, job functions, and a fragmented workplace culture, that lead to a high cost structure, workplace silos, and an overall competitive disadvantage with product performance and innovation.
Mr. Escalante will discuss how the LexisNexis Data Center and Technology Team can now scale for growth and performance leveraging open source technology and commercial off the shelf equipment. He will also share how he overcame negativity and resistance in the workplace via a "Lazarus" project to create management and employee engagement and commitment. As a result of the transformation efforts, LexisNexis Risk Solutions now runs its multi-billion dollar business on the technology platform in the Data Center, where product performance and security must be operational 24/7 for customers like banks, health care organizations, insurance carriers, law enforcement, Federal Government agencies and other large enterprise organizations. |
